I was born in Magdeburg in 1989. I spent my school time in the boarding school of the Klosterschule Roßleben. From 2009 to 2013 I worked as a media designer in Leipzig. In 2013 I began my studies at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in feature film directing. My first short film "Escaping Damascus", a chamber play about two brothers fleeing from Damascus, was shown at the 48th International Hofer Filmtage 2014. The mood of the film is especially influenced by the cast. All roles played by Syrian actors enrich the film with their own escape experiences. The short film "Guy" deals with the fascination of a young rock musician, for the 27 club, whose members were all famous musicians of the rock scene and died at the age of 27. For this film I worked together with musicians who then embodied the characters in the film as amateur actors. Together we produced a vinyl record with songs written especially for the film. "Zorn dem Volke" is a one-shot political thriller with a special camera concept. The main character Nikolai is always the center of the picture, so that the plot is often only represented by his reactions and the sound around him. In addition to many other screenings, the film was also shown at the well known Camerimage Festival in Poland in 2017. Right now I am working on a short called "Waid" which will be shot in winter and I am in preproduction of my first feature film "Kaĝo".
